And again, at the beginning of a case as I get to know the facts and I get to know the client, the client’s involvement in working with me is going to be more than as the case goes into some lulls. There’re just some litigation lulls, or pre-settlement lulls that just exist. When we’re preparing for depositions, when we’re preparing for motions, and certainly if we are going to go to trial, we’re preparing for trial. I need that interaction a lot with a client.
Me, knowing the client, knowing how the situation affected the client’s life is necessary in order for me to be effective in what I do. But their involvement, certainly they can choose not to be involved at all, but it’s going to make my job that much more difficult. Part of my job is to be able to take care of these tasks. And it’s not part of their daily life.”
