“Well, my sense of it is that most people know when they come into my office that they haven’t got cancer and they have a matter of weeks to live. If they were in that situation, they might have a heightened expectation of a result. But if their shoulder is sore and they’re complaining because they missed two days of work, I think they would understand there is a natural limit to what they may receive.
I just work through, talking about what are the component parts of a claim, and how we would potentially evaluate it, and then give them confidence that the case is worth pursuing. But I give them a measured sense of hopefulness about what we may be able to accomplish.”
