Hi, today we’re sitting with Darryl Stallworth, an attorney in Alameda County, California. And we’re going to be talking about his various fields of law that he practices, not just in Alameda County, but all over the state of California.
So, let’s get right into it. Darryl, on your website, you have Title IX highlighted, not only in your field of practice, but also as a workshop. Obviously, it’s very important to you. So can you tell us a little bit about that?

Sure, over the number of years that I’ve represented people accused of Title IX violations, I found it to be the most misunderstood area of law, which creates the most damage. When young people are accused of sexual misconduct, there’s a lot of gray areas. There’s a lot of levels that make it very difficult for anybody to really come through with any factual conclusions.
But the risks are so incredibly harsh, you can be expelled from school, you can be placed on probation, you can even have a criminal case. So, I’ve been trying for a past number of years to make sure I get information to people up front to avoid this situation. But if you’re going to go through this process, you need someone that can help navigate you through it.
