Somebody is here, and they’re in an immigration status, and they get arrested. Can you bail them out on the criminal charge?
Christian Esparza – Acme Bail Bonds – California
We can bail them out on the criminal charges, as long as there’s not an immigration hold. In most cases in California, there’s usually not an immigration hold, so people that aren’t citizens or that get arrested with these criminal charges are usually given a bail, and it works like everyone else’s bail.
They have a friend or family member sign for them and get out and handle their court case. Their immigration status is a different court, and it’s a different issue than usually what we’re posting these bonds for.
